Privacy policy

The forms on Send a requirement, Selling equipment and Transformers send us what you type in: your name, company, contact details and the equipment you are buying or selling. We never ask for payment details.

The forms are delivered to us by a form service, which keeps its own copy under its own terms. If you would rather it did not, email powergen@mccordinvestments.com instead.

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and only tells us which pages are read and from which country.

While your tab is open, your browser keeps a note of how you found us (the site or link you came from and the first page you landed on). If you send a form, that note goes with it. It is deleted when you close the tab.

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

The quote form on the Transformers page asks for the transformer type, rating, site and date needed, your email and any notes. We use it only to prepare your quote and follow up on it.

If you arrive from one of our ads, the ad's click ID and campaign tags are kept in a cookie on this site for 90 days and sent with your quote, so we know which ad it came from.

On the Transformers pages we ask before loading Google's ad and analytics tags. If you accept, Google sets cookies that tell us which ads lead to quotes, and your choice is kept in a cookie for a year. If you decline, nothing is sent to Google.

To have your quote, or anything recorded about the ad you came from, deleted, email powergen@mccordinvestments.com and we will delete it.

The fonts load from Google Fonts. The map imagery loads from Esri and Amazon Web Services. Each of them sees your IP address when your browser fetches the file.

We keep your information while we are working on your request. If nothing comes of it, we will delete it when you ask. If we do business together, we keep the records that tax and corporate law require.

What you tell us about a requirement or a unit stays confidential. We only share what a counterparty needs to know to answer.

We are based in Calgary, Alberta. The services above are not Canadian, so your information may be stored in the United States and fall under US law while it is there.

Under PIPEDA and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act you can ask to see what we hold on you, have it corrected or withdraw your consent. Get in touch and we will answer within 30 days.

The project and province pages are built from public filings, grid operator queues, company announcements and news coverage. They are about companies and infrastructure, not individuals.
