What this site collects

Two pages carry a form: Send a requirement and Selling equipment. What you type is what we receive. A name, a company, an email address or telephone number, and the requirement or the unit itself. No page on this site asks for payment details.

Submissions are delivered by Formspree and arrive as email at the desk. Formspree retains a copy under its own terms. To bypass that step, write directly to sam@mccordinvestments.com. It reaches the same desk.

Page views are counted by Vercel Analytics. It is cookie-free and aggregate. It reports which pages are read and which country a reader is in.

The site also holds a short record in your browser session storage: the site that referred you, the page you arrived on, any campaign parameter carried by the link, and the last page read before a form. It accompanies a submission so we know how the enquiry found us. It clears when the tab closes.

Vercel retains standard server logs. Those include IP addresses.

Two elements are served from outside this site. The typefaces come from Google Fonts on every page. Satellite and terrain imagery comes from Esri and from an Amazon Web Services bucket on the pages that draw a map. Each receives your IP address when your browser requests the file.

Information is held for as long as it takes to answer you and run the search. An enquiry that goes no further is removed on request. A record tied to completed work is retained for the period tax and corporate record-keeping require.

Requirements and equipment details are confidential. A counterparty is told what the search requires and nothing beyond it.

The desk is in Calgary, Alberta. The services named above operate outside Canada. Information you send may be stored on servers in the United States and is subject to the law of that jurisdiction while it is there.

PIPEDA and the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act give you the right to see what is held on you, to have it corrected and to withdraw consent. Write to sam@mccordinvestments.com and you will have an answer inside 30 days.

Project and province pages are built from public filings, system operator queues, company announcements and news coverage. They describe companies and infrastructure rather than individuals.
