- AESO Connection Project List, July 2026 (P3079 Captus Load, 74.9 MW DTS, ISD 2027-09-01)
74.9 MW is the load AESO has on file. Captus publishes no capacity figure of its own. AESO's interim large-load approach applies to projects requesting 75 MW or more at a single site. Eight entries in the Alberta queue are filed at exactly 74.9 MW, and seven of those eight, including this one, are Active with a real in-service date, while 28 of the 30 entries at 75 MW or above sit undated in ISD Under Review. That is a property of the queue, not evidence about how Captus sized this project. The coordinate is Pincher Creek: Captus describes the site as industrial land south of the town, removed from populated areas, but does not publish a parcel.
