Slate wants to sever a 76-hectare parcel of the former Stelco lands on the Hamilton waterfront for an AI data centre campus. Hamilton's Committee of Adjustment refused the severance on 4 June 2026, and Slate has appealed to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
